Clinton, NJ Child Photographer {Charlotte}

In my Hunterdon County studio in December, I got to spend my birthday morning with this little sweetheart and her Mommy. I last photographed Charlotte for her newborn session and I just love that I got to see her (like I did for her sister Sophia too), for a sitter session. This milestone is one of my favorites! It’s probably only second to a newborn session because at this age, babies are curious, happy, reactive and mostly free of separation anxiety.

Mommy had picked out a sweet black and white dress to start and I just love how it popped off the pink polka dot drop I chose to pair it with- so much fun! Then we went with one of my favorite backdrops for the second setup. Pink and gold has been so popular this past year and with Charlotte’s beautiful coloring, it was a perfect compliment. The delicate floral is so soft and feminine. For the third setup, we chose something a little more rustic with a touch of femme. And after she gave us a few smiles with that, we broke it down to some fun, natural shots. I always love to try to include these if possible because I think it’s important to remember those chunky arms and legs and the little pot bellies sticking out. These are the things that fade from our memories too quickly…

Thank you, Sarah, for bringing Charlotte back to see me. I love that you want to capture this stage and I always love working with your beautiful family.
