I was so happy when Leslie contacted me to photograph Emma’s first birthday. I remember that during her newborn session, we already had plans to use of one of the same props for her first birthday session to show her growth. I absolutely love when my clients want to do that- it really puts in perspective how much things change in just the short span of a year.
For her first birthday portrait and cake smash session session, Emma brought her smiles!! I had just gotten a new backdrop that I LOVED and suggested it to Leslie for the portrait part because I thought it would be perfect. Mommy loves Emma in blue and this drop was just the sweetest shade with little accent birds giving it just the right mix of shabby chic. I was so happy she loved it.
If only getting the dress had been that easy….(think out of stock, back orders and untimely shipping speeds) but in the end, we got the one we loved!

For Emma’s cake smash, Mommy wanted something simple with pinks, purples and turquoise and we worked together to plan just what she had in her mind’s eye. It’s so rewarding to be able to make a client’s vision happen. And Emma was happy to do her part to make beautiful images that will be forever cherished.
