To my beautiful friend and her precious daughter, thank you for letting me tell a story through pictures. Everything about this shoot was beautiful. The details all came together and I have to say, that Veronica’s Godmother picked out the most gorgeous dress I’ve ever seen for this occasion. God Bless you, Veronica. This little guy came to my studio due to the persuasion of his {smart} aunt that newborn photos should not be missed! And I’m so glad she was so convincing (it doesn’t surprise me because his aunt is an educator and very special to our family). Dad wasn’t totally convinced it was going to be worth the investment, but we easily won him over, I’m told! The request was for more natural colors and minimal props and I think we nailed it! Baby B.K. was such a sweet little bundle of joy. Mommy and Daddy are clearly head over heels in love with their new baby boy. And could he be any more adorable than in the photo cuddling a little teddy?! Congratulations to this new family of three!

If you’ve followed my work for a while, you know that I just love using a prop from the newborn session to show growth. It never fails to amaze me how much occurs in the first year of life. This session marked the third time I’ve photographed Ethan and he was all smiles! Oh, and he was a “face planter” too! My favorite thing to see during a cake smash! Happy Birthday, big guy! I hope year two is filled with happiness and fun! Can’t wait to see you again!
PS- can you find a hidden “secret” to my cake smashes??? (hint: it can be found in the last image!)
